Can someone else drive the rental car?
Only drivers whose names are listed in the rental agreement are legally permitted to drive the vehicle. Allowing an unauthorized driver may void your insurance and make you fully liable in case of an accident. If you need multiple drivers, simply request an additional driver option when booking.
Booking, Payment & Deposit
Is a security deposit required for all rental cars?
Yes, a refundable security deposit is mandatory for all rentals. The amount ranges between AED 1,000 and AED 5,000 depending on the vehicle type small cars, SUV, or luxury cars.
When will I receive my security deposit refund?
The security deposit is refunded within 30 days after returning the vehicle, once fines, Salik (toll) charges, and damages (if any) are cleared.
Do you accept debit cards for booking rental cars?
Yes, debit cards are accepted for direct booking payments. However, the security deposit requires a credit card for pre-authorization.
Are there any hidden charges in your car rental service?
No, Quick Drive ensures transparent pricing. All charges including Salik tolls, traffic fines, fuel policy, and extra services are clearly mentioned in your rental agreement.
What happens if I get a traffic fine during the rental period?
Traffic fines incurred during your rental must be paid by you. An administration fee of AED 50 + 5% VAT is also applicable per fine.
How are tolls (Salik) charged on rental cars?
Salik toll charges of AED 6.10 per crossing are automatically billed and deducted from your deposit or added to your final invoice.
Can I request an invoice for my car rental?
Yes, invoices are available upon request. Whether you opt for daily car rental in Dubai or a long-term lease in Abu Dhabi, you’ll receive an itemised invoice for complete clarity.
Rental Duration & Returns
How is daily rent a car service calculated?
Daily rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis from the pickup time. For example, if you collect the car at 2 PM, it should be returned by 2 PM the next day.
What if I return the vehicle early during a monthly rental?
If you return the car earlier than agreed, the monthly discounted rate will be void, and the daily rate will be applied instead. Any pickup/delivery charges are non-refundable.
Can I return the car before the agreed return time?
Yes, but for daily rentals, no refund will be given. Instead, you may receive a credit note valid for 60 days, which you can use for your next booking.
What happens if I return the car with less fuel?
If the fuel level is lower than at pickup, you’ll be charged a refueling fee at company rates.
Are there mileage limits on rental cars?

Is the renter responsible for servicing the car?
Vehicles must undergo servicing every 10,000 km or 6 months. If your rental period is long, inform us when service is due—we will arrange it for you at no extra cost.
What if I delay servicing the vehicle?
If servicing is delayed and causes damage, the renter is liable for repair costs and downtime charges.
What is your vehicle breakdown policy?
In the unlikely event of a breakdown, we will provide a replacement vehicle as soon as possible to minimise disruption.
What if I return the car dirty or with odors?
A cleaning fine of AED 100 to AED 500 applies if the car is returned excessively dirty or with strong odours.
Are accessories included in the rental?
Yes, upon request we provide baby seats, GPS, or Wi-Fi devices. These must be returned in the same condition, or replacement charges will apply.
What should I do in case of mechanical failure?
Contact our 24/7 roadside assistance team immediately. Continuing to drive with a fault may make you liable for further damage.
Accidents, Insurance & Damages
Is insurance included in the car rental service?
Yes, basic insurance is included with every booking. For additional coverage, you can opt for Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW).
Is a police report mandatory for all accidents?
Yes, without a police report, the renter will be held fully liable for damages and repair costs.
What is Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)?
SCDW reduces your financial liability in case of an accident but does not cover tyres, windshields, or tools.
What happens if I drive under the influence and have an accident?
Driving under the influence voids insurance. You will be fully liable for all damages and car value costs.
What if the car is declared a total loss during the rental?
If SCDW is not taken, the renter must pay 20% of the car’s value. Without a police report, the renter may be charged the full market value.
Can I repair a rental car on my own?
No, self-repairs or third-party repairs are strictly prohibited. Always return the car for company-approved maintenance.
Is reckless driving covered by rental car insurance?
No, reckless or off-road driving voids insurance, making the renter fully liable for damages.
What happens if I lose the car key?
Lost keys incur a replacement fee between AED 1,000 to AED 3,000, depending on the car model.
Restrictions & Liabilities
Can I drive outside the UAE with the rental car?
No, rental cars are only allowed within UAE borders. Crossing into Oman, Saudi Arabia, or other GCC countries is not permitted.
Can rental cars be used for off-road driving?
No, off-road driving is prohibited and voids insurance coverage. Cars are meant for paved UAE roads only.
What if the vehicle is impounded?
You will bear all impound fees and daily rental charges for the entire impound period.
Can you repossess the car?
Yes, in cases of non-payment or violation of the rental agreement, the company reserves the right to repossess the vehicle.
Are rental cars insured for desert or mountain areas?
No, vehicles are insured only for city and highway driving within the UAE. Desert or mountain driving is not covered.
Am I responsible for items left in the car?
Yes, Quick Drive is not liable for personal belongings left behind after vehicle return.
What happens if illegal substances are found in the vehicle?
The renter assumes full legal responsibility for any prohibited items found in the car.

Can I cancel or modify my car rental booking?

What if I damage the tire due to misuse?
Tire damage due to negligence is chargeable after inspection by our fleet management team.
Is driving with a flat tire allowed?
No, driving with a flat tire is prohibited and makes you fully liable for additional damages.
What if I go over the allowed kilometers on my monthly car rental?
